FOP lodge #55 was founded on June 20, 1994, by Clint Smith. As a Harbormaster he honorably served his community and his department of the Town of Oyster Bay from 1980 to 2005. Our Lodge is unique in that it is linked to our fraternal organization of the New York State Harbormaster and Bay Constable Association that encompasses multiple law enforcement agencies throughout New York State. We use the dual organizations to help us all stay connected on up-to-date legislation, training and just general knowledge to make sure we can better serve our communities.
